Josie Kim Parker

Morongo Basin assemblage sculptor, Josie Kim Parker, interprets her personal stories as thoughts emanating from faceless bamboo framed dolls cast in her series GUARDIANS.

Josie’s soft sculpture assemblage work is illustrated by textiles and embellishments collected during her journey as an antique and collectibles dealer then specializing in Mid-Century Modern and Asian Pacific designs.

Over time her growing body of work has debuted in the high desert galleries of the Beatnik Lounge, Joshua Tree Art Gallery, Glass Outhouse and currently at Compound Yucca Valley. Several of her pieces are in private collections.
